Another difference in the process of my current (self published) book is that Im going through each page for character poses more than composition. Its letting me sit with the art for a while to see what works and what does not. Sometimes, something looks good at first and later bad, and sometimes it looks terrible at first and later pretty cool. Iv been painting a lot of landscapes lately and as I go around from park to park, I'm keeping my eyes open for the right setting for this story. After the poses are done, Ill go back to one park and shoot all the backgrounds. It would be a great experience to paint all the backgrounds in the field and later insert the folk in the studio.
