We toured the Disney animation library in Glendale this morning. They house ALL of the Disney art created from Streamboat Willy to present in 9 enviromentally controlled vaults including in between art and maquettes. They brought out selected concepts, background art, and cells and we were allowed into a maquette vault and cell and background vault. It was great to see digital sketches used in the soon to be released Princess and the Frog movie as well as what the little mermaid looked like in the early stages, plus a bunch of other inspiring and beautiful art.
Now, off to Dreamworks
