Endpapers Detail

Mr. Rabbit and the Rain Cloud is done. I finished the endpapers which might not get printed but I wanted them done anyway. Just a simple portrait in the rain. Doing the book was very good. It added up to 19 illustrations, not including the endpapers. It will be printed 6x9; a nice little size for little hands. I feel that it has some of my best watercolors.

Shallow Creeks

With the creeks very shallow, they asked Mr. Rabbit who he thought should get the most rain when it fell.

Though I will continue to get more Mr. Rabbit paintings done, I wont be posting all of them. I'm hoping to get them all done before the upcoming Pasadena trip next month. When I get back, I plan to send it off to lulu and get a book made. The whole thing is a side project Iv wanted to do since last year. They are really quick paintings and since I usually end the night with a paining, it seemed like a good opportunity to get it done. I know tomorrow during the day will be a job job since I got a call in this afternoon, but the side project must continue as side projects should. Time must be arranged and budgeted in a way that supports what is best for us as individuals within the context of our larger responsibilities and the breadth of our desires.

Anticipation

Excitement spread throughout the forest. It had been a very long time since it had rained.

Once, while walking, he looked up and saw a great rain cloud coming from the East.
