Old cliches are repeated for a reason

Success really is like a lock that needs the right key to open. But a key has teeth. Every tooth must be in the right position to open a particular lock. We have our own doors to open and must shape our keys to fit in our individual locks. One key wont open every door. Your key wont work for me and my key wont work for you. Still they are all basically the same with just small, but essential differences. People ask, "What is the key?" But each tooth has its place and are components of the whole to make it work. It's not enough to be good. Or is it enough to have competent communication skills. It's not enough that each illustration must be consistent in quality but must have continuity of style. It's not enough to have great ideas. All of these components, and more, must all work together, and be all lined up, to get that damn door to open and that door must be unlocked every day.
