I dove out to Mendon Pond today with Bob Dorsey to do some sketching. We started at the Wild Wings bird sanctuary where most of the birds seemed to be rescued after getting hit by cars. The owls were often so small I cant believe people actually knew to stop and pick them up. 
After sketching the birds, we drove over to the Devils Bathtub (great name!) and sat at a bench to sketch the pond. It was good to see an others viewpoint and approach on the same subject. It was also longer than I usually go. This was great because I put much more into it than I would have if I were alone. We decided in the spring that we would get out there more. After dinner, I came back to the studio to wrap up a job. Time for a little thesis work. There are still several images needed for my contact review.
