Progress

This one finally got some attention after regular work.  The starting of the summer has brought some exciting projects my way that helped end a slow period.  I'm walking that fine line between design and illustration.  If an illustration is an accumulation of shapes, lines, value, composition, etc, and its purpose is to tell a story and evoke a feeling, then the most basic formation of these elements can arguably be considered illustration, right down to rectangles and curves.  With identity, you are faced with the task of putting an entire company and its history into an icon,  Fonts and logos are comprised of basic shapes with value and composition that must tell a story about who or what they represent.  Logos are streamlined illustrations.  Fonts are letter forms drawn and created to help with the story of the whole package.
