I'm in San Francisco this week with the Hartford MFA group, emersed in illustration from presenters, mass amounts of originals, and friends with incredible tallent. Also feedback from the instructors on not just the thesis but all things illustration. One thing I will say briefy, is something that is included in so many of the presenters discussions: Be a self starter. Initiate your own projects. Evolve. To hear institutionally unrelated, sucessful illustrators see and say the same things on career and the state of illustration resonates in a big, big way.
