I used the blue finch sketch as reference here. I redrew three times.
Next will be to connect the two designs (from Birds, Not Dogs) in a repeat, adding one other element, may be a squirrel silhouette, inside the skeleton. I'm thinking I will go with the brown version and use blue only as an accent. Next will be the realistic version and then the bubbly version. Then, more design development.
