Back from NYC

A really big thanks to Murray and Carol Tinkelman, Bill Thomson, and Doug Anderson from the Hartford program for putting on a great week at the Society of Illustrators, who hosted the week. To Vin Di Fate for critiquing our genera project, Ted and Betsy Lewin, also from the program, who opened their house to us in Brooklyn and for their instruction,  Illustration House for showing us some of the greats, speakers: Bill Kontzias, Steve Brodner, Arnold Roth, Zina Saunders, Peter DeSeve, Leo and Diane Dillon, Daniel Abraham, Cheryl PhelpsJoe Ciardiello, and Burt Silverman.  Obviously from this list it was an incredible week.  Lots and lots of illustration and conversation.

Some of us went to the Society on Thursday night for sketching where they bring in live models and music.  Imagine the illustrators who have drawn in that room.  Seven of us made it down to Chelsey to the Jonathan LeVine Gallery to see the Doze Green show on Friday.  After there we went to the opening of Philip Burke's show.

Im very inspired by everthing from the week.  Ill be setting a timeline for some personal goals born from the presentations.  Good stuff.

I look forward to San Francisco in the spring where we will meet again.
