Wednesday brought requests for Disney illustrations and so I was going to put up something from the archive. But while looking through, I came across this lizard I did for Ron Jon. At the time, I was working in Photoshop a lot with the airbrush. But you can look into it and see that I was using Illustrator a lot and mixing the two.

At Gardner's, I was mixing a lot. In this scuba image, I built the frame and the equipment in Illustrator and brought them into Photoshop. To get the stitch, I did a dotted line stroke of various diameters on top of each other.

This concept, that we called 4D, was pretty successful with ProPlayer, the company we licenced through. This started in Illustrator and was brought into Dimensions (remember that one?). From there into Photoshop, to Painter, and back to Photoshop. It seems like a lot of back and forth but it was fun. We we were not working with any 3D programs at the time so I came up with this process. I have always wanted to sit down and learn a 3D program but just never did.
